Ever wanted to see a live badger?
Shy and retiring, it’s little wonder that so few us of ever set eyes on a live badger. The slightest sound or scent is enough to send them scurrying back to their sett. 
Lancashire Badger group have a purpose-built badger hide in the Ribble Valley giving an excellent view (in relative comfort) of a large and very active badger sett.
Open for supervised visits in spring, summer and autumn evenings, this facility allows members of the group and the public to see badgers up close.
For many people this is a magical experience.
Suitable for adults and older children, the hide is located across a field and on the edge of a hidden woodland.
In past years the badgers have been very reliable in their appearances, allowing watchers to see and experience a superb wildlife experience.
Because of the position of the hide, access is by a rough track and therefore, sadly, wheelchair access is currently not possible. In future, we hope to obtain funding to improve this. However, please contact hide@lancashirebadgergroup.org.uk if you have limited mobility, as we will try to help.
